Micah Alpern got their new other graphic design by running a design contest:
Illustrations for Wedding materials
Check out Micah Alpern's Other Graphic Design contest…
My fiance and i were walking to the farmer's market yesterday and i saw this sign on a telephone pole and was totally inspired for invitations. http://tinyurl.com/6ree4f Here's the idea: main characters are the tree, the bride and groom, and possibly a rolling hillside. thought is to create various scenes for the different materials (invitations, menu, placecards, ceremony program, thank you notes, ...)
What's your vision?
We're looking for illustrations to use in our wedding materials. We were inspired by this style: tp://tinyurl.com/6ree4f The main characters are the tree, the bride and groom, and possibly a rolling hillside. thought is to create various scenes for the different materials (invitations, menu, placecards, ceremony program, thank you notes, ...) that are appropriate for each. could be in color or black and white, or different depending on the context. couple reasons why i like it are... i really really want a sketch as a part of our wedding branding (everytime i see this, i love it... see links below) and trees have been a theme for us in our house hunt.
We would like you to create the three scenes below: - Bride and Groom sitting in a tree having fun.- stringing a thank you sign from the tree climbing the tree- pushing each other on a tree swing
- Don't worry about the copy that will go along with these illustrations. We can work on that later.
