Not too dark - trying to keep this one a bit more light and happy than some of our other marketing materials. I did attach a version of our logo with the white as well as transparent background. However, if you think your design will look best with a darker background, I'd be open to it! My main objective is to catch the eye and attention of the person we are mailing this to and not have them just toss it out. Should allow room for mailing address sticker, return address should be printed on it and place for postage. Front and back. Eye catching phrase and very brief "about" explaining the type of parties we staff. You can find those details in the brochure I uploaded under "attachments" and on our site. You can even just use filler text as a place holder so we can focus more on the design. A catchy large tagline that poses a question on the front, such as "HOSTING A PARTY?!?! We help exceed expectations!" Helping us think of a creative tag line for the front that would make you want to use our services, is a huge plus but don't let it hold you back from sending over your layout!! The tag line can always be changed. I also want to encourage our readers to view our new website and sign up on the site. The new site will launch Sept 1st, they'll be able to create a client profile and view talent. Please note: I'll be mailing these after Sept 1st (After the site is launched). At the moment, the site has a place holder page with an "about" section - beautyandbar.com (web link will be the same). Again, my main objective: This needs to hook them in and get them to not just throw out the mailer and sometimes that has to do with the layout/design and not just the words/content.
The letter at the end of the files in "attachments" is a testimonial from when I staffed the Espys: Bodycon Event. You can find more testimonials at our yelp link (posted below). Do not feel you have to put testimonials on the mailer unless it looks right. You could just say we have staffed for the Espys: Bodycon and for the Kardashians: Jordyn Woods and Hrush Achemyan.
The last two photos: Alison1 and Alison2 are photos of me. I don't know if it would grab their attention to mention who the founder is. I will say that I bartended for years before starting the business and found the company while attending Pepperdine working towards my MBA. Might make the mailer more interesting and personal but not necessary to include. They're probably more interested in what we can do for them but it might make them feel good to know they are helping out a small business by using our service (just a thought).
