How Conrad Foundation started their print or packaging design journey
Conrad Foundation at conradawards.org
The Conrad Foundation is a non-profit, built upon astronaut Charles "Pete" Conrad's history of innovation and entrepreneurship. Pete's accomplishments spanned three decades of manned space flight. Although he passed away in 1999, his legacy continues through the Conrad Foundation's rich programs that combine science, education, and entrepreneurship in a revolutionary model of incentivized competition. In Pete’s honor, the Conrad Foundation gives talented young students their moon shot. We present opportunities for multi-disciplinary and project based learning by combining STEM and entrepreneurship to inspire creative thinking. With the help of teachers and mentors these students create products they can take to commercialization. The rewards and opportunities include awards, grants, scholarships, internships, aerospace/science memberships, invitation Innovation Summit hosted by NASA, meetings w/scientists + industry professionals and networking potentials are endless with our online community that only begins w/the challange. A movement where innovation and entrepreneurship play an integral role in creating a 21st century STEM workforce capable of solving society’s grand challenges. By providing students with the opportunity to design, develop, and commercialize innovative products, we connect the most creative students with real-world entrepreneurial ventures.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We want to engage students, teachers, scientists, industry professionals, potential sponsors and partners in our mission to encourage innovative thinking.
We would like to use this postcard like a large business card that anyone can pick up and become interested in learning more about the Conrad Foundation (students, scientists, teachers, philanthropists, volunteers, general public). We want to bring these postcards to conferences/events and be able to leave stacks at schools, with mentors, with coporate sponsors, with current and potential partners and sponsor organizations (NASA, Lockheed Martin). We want people to read this and want to go to the website to learn all about us and join us in anyway they can. It will not be sent out as a postcard so you can use all space.
Please be creative!
