How SHAPE-Fil started their print or packaging design journey
We're a recently created startup company that develops digital content and applications for the Building Information Modeling industry. Our firm develops intelligent 3D content models for use in building documentation for designers, construction firms and facility managers. We seek to be standard for quality, feature rich, and intelligent model content for the BIM industry. The name and logo for SHAPE is meant to instill how we can take something technical and static and make it elegant, functional, and intelligent.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The built environment product manufacturers and suppliers. Designers and manufacturers of furniture and office systems, HVAC systems, engineering products all need to have BIM quality versions of their products for end users to fully take advantage of them in their models. Our goal is to target these manufacturers and communicate how we can develop high quality digital versions of their products for use in these models that will bring value to their projects.
We would like to develop a one page (front and back, 8.5"x11") service sheet to communicate our services to potential clients. Piece will be printed and send out digitally as pdf.
Ideally piece will be designed to be modifiable to add new services so multiple sheets can be created off same design and feel part of the same package. Kind of a kit of parts mentality. Maybe some iconic way on design to show multiple sheets belong together as part of a whole that can be changed as we add more?
We want the sheet to maintain sufficient white space while leaving room for small pieces of copy and bullet points and images. Take advantage of the logo colors but not be overdone with them.
Design can also integrate 3-d wire frame graphics or rendered furniture models that will be uploaded later.
