We are an Australian grape growing and wine company that produce a range of wines sold on a variety of platforms from online to traditional retail environments. We target both domestic and international markets
What's your vision?
We are a large wine grape growing business based in South Australia that has vineyards spread across many regions and states in Australia. We grow a wide range of varieties and have a team of great people who passionately farm our vineyards producing some fantastic product. This new wine product that we are developing is all about taking the best parcels of grapes from some/all of our sites and blending them together to make the most unique and interesting wines we can. The wines will be put together by the guys who farm the vineyards and they debate/argue/arm wrestle to ensure that their best parcels get a chance to shine. They will ultimately make the decisions on their favorite parcels to form part of the final wine blend. The Brand and the label are to be called "The Blend Boys" and the marketing will be based on the 8 blend boys running the vineyards and directing the project.(Open to other suggestions although we like the Blend Boys) We want the brand to be a bit funky and non traditional as we are going against the trend of single variety wines from single areas. We think that this single variety/ region approach to winemaking is resulting in wines that are missing the opportunity to benefit from carefully blending together great parcels to produce more interesting wines with depth and complexity single varieties miss out on. We want the label to be fun and have some character that reflects the range of personalities that each of the blend boys have. This approach is going against the current trends and that is just how we like it. We want to rage against conformity, ordinary and traditional boundaries and don't mind that we might have some people thinking we are heading in the wrong direction. We know our vineyards, our grapes and our guys, and back ourselves to produce some fantastic wines without the usual 'traditions' or 'dogma' the we think can sometimes restrain our industry. We are looking for help to produce our label that can encapsulate the passion behind this exciting project. At this stage there are No Rules (and that is just how we like it) so see what you can come up with and we will let you know what we are thinking with prompt feedback. There is no need to reference FABAL Wines on the label as we want this brand to have a life of its own. We are looking for a label that can essentially handle 3 different Red Wines and 2 or 3 different White wines. The blends that we put together will be delineated on the basis of style ranging very broadly on strength and complexity. For example the reds might be a range of 3 wines that might be called Blend Boys - "Big" (wine 1), "Bigger"(wine 2) and "Biggest" (wine3). OR RB1, RB2 and RB3 to reflect Red Blend 1 etc. This is just an example to illustrate our point but are really keen to get some ideas from you our 99 design friends. Again, there are no rules!!
In the past with our 99 design projects if we like 2 designs we are more than happy to have multiple winners. Please let us know if you have any questions Thanks for all the designers who participate and good luck.
