We are a wine producer in need of a new label for a new wine style we are adding to our range Verdelho De Aguja. TARGET CONSUMERS The target demographic of consumers will be predominantly female, between the ages of 25 and 39. Having said that however, the design of the label should not be feminine in style to the point that it could completely put men off . These consumers can be described as educated, culturally aware, active across a range of social media platforms, well-travelled, adventurous, having busy social schedules and not afraid to try new things. In fact, they seek out the new and exciting. As such, we need a distinctive and artistically inspired illustration and overall design style that captures the imagination and draws our target consumers in to explore the Verdelho De Aguja further. The wine will be sold predominantly in the Australian and Asian markets.
What's your vision?
INTRODUCTION We are a wine producer looking to create a new label for a new wine style we are adding to our range - Verdelho De Aguja. Verdelho is a fairly well known fruity variety but 'De Aguja' is a Spanish term referring to the wine style. It is not a well known term in Australia. It means ‘little needles’ and refers to a wine that is lightly or semi sparkling. A wine with a refreshingly light spritz. Our Verdelho De Aguja will replace our current Moscato which we will be dropping from our range. This new label can be differentiated from the existing labels in our range in terms of the way it is branded and targeted, as well as the overall art style and design. NAMING For this label we have decided on the name Witches Falls Verdelho De Aguja and the 'De Aguja' or little needles / light spritz should be the key focus in the design of the upcoming label. The label will need to contain the 'Witches Falls' name. Our corporate font is Mrs Eaves Roman. DESIGN De Aguja is not a term that our consumers will probably be familiar with so it will be extremely important that the illustration on the label helps convey the wine's style to the consumer. This is a light, fresh and cheerful lower alcohol wine to be shared with friends. We would like the label to feature a stylized and eye catching illustration of bubbles / spritz / sparkling in a slightly abstract and watercolour style. Please see images attached below sourced from the internet as examples of this style. In creating the illustration however we would like for it to be kept fairly simple. The illustration should also be placed on a white background, and efforts should be made to avoid the label being too cluttered or 'busy' in appearance. We would like the overall feel of the label design and the illustration used to communicate a quality wine with a certain level of prestige, while also being fun and quirky. We want to communicate that the wine is accessible, casual, refreshing and made for good times with friends and loved ones. PACKAGING Our Verdelho De Aguja will be lightly sparkling and white in colour. It will be packaged in 500ml screw cap flint bottles, similar to our existing Moscato bottle - see image provided. Please note our Verdelho De Aguja will not be pink in colour it will be white.
The final artwork is required to be in ai/eps format.
