Description of the product target audience
Age: 30+. Local honey lovers. Bee lovers. Outdoorsy types. People who care about the environment. People who want to save bees.
We are a non-profit group trying to save the world by saving the bees. We crawl into hot attics, walls, and crevices every day and rescue bees from extermination. We save anywhere from 30-100 hives a month. We really need a strong honey label to help us make enough money to continue our bee rescue operation. I've done my best to provide some mock files that give the essence of what we are going for. Let me say that I know how valuable your time and creativity is and I wish we could pay you what you are worth. Many of our bee removals are pro bono in nature, however, and funds stay tight but we continue to do the work. We're looking for creative designers interested in our cause who want to make a difference in the world. Happy to offer plenty of wild honey to winning designers, as well. :) We are looking for a master label file with one or two areas that we can swap out for each of our honey flavors (i.e. honey flavor & main image on front). We work with many different landowners and each honey has a unique taste. We need to be able to use ONE design for our labels and simply swap out one main image and the product flavor name. We often need to create new labels on the fly for one-off honey flavors. Labels should scale for our 4oz, 8oz, and 16oz jars. Looking for something that stands out from all the other honey on the shelves in stores. We are often competing with 30-40 other honey jars. We want something playful that sticks out and stays with people. Our founder thinks he is a bee and has dreadlocks, so the bee with dreadlocks should be prominent. Label should be very visual. We want it to POP. Label must have everything our current label has on it. What to avoid
People know us by looking for the bee with dreadlocks, so that needs to be prominent. We want these labels to be a pattern-interrupt. People should see it and want to stop and learn more or ask: wait, what is this product? We like the concept of the vegan honey lable with a cartoonish character that references the flavor profile up front. Avocados with sunglasses or mangos with muscles or a hat or something that makes you stop is what we're going for.
