Who are we? We are ‘The Oxford Health Company’ based in Bicester, Oxfordshire. We currently specialize in providing affordable nutritional supplements under the brand name “Oxford Vitality”. We have successfully generated a competitively priced brand tailored to the masses, I.e for all ages, ailments and budgets. However, our current goal is to launch a new, luxurious and upmarket brand, tailored towards a higher price bracket, and smaller demographic. The new brand will be called “Opulence”. The Ancient Greek Civilization were the pioneering Fathers of modern medicine, and the inspiration behind this brand. We want to create a luxury health brand that targets modern day health issues, yet evoke the elaborate and ornate nature of the past. Under the brand name “Opulence” will be two gender specific ranges. For males, “Apollo”. For Females “Aphrodite”. Who is our target market? Our target market is both men and women of 20-40 years. It will be an upmarket brand costing the customer approximately £90 /product. We believe this age range will have the means and budget for this to be of interest. We hope for it to appeal to like-minded people that are focused on matching their interior health to that of their exterior appearance.
What's your vision?
What would we like created? We request a tailored label design be created for both the male and female ranges of our brand. When designing the label, we would like to see you consider the following: Logo placement and position Font Colours used for font. Placement of nuttitional tables, barcode and other essential label text, because this is a food supplement it does require an area designated for nutritional information and ingredients (much like on food products) so this will also need to be incorporated into the design. SEE REFERENCES FOR WHAT NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED IN THIS EXAMPLE DESIGN
Logo We sourced our Logo from a brilliant designer on 99 designs, it has been attached it to this file. We chose this particular design because the logo was ornate and incorporated great pictorial representations of Ancient Greece. The writing is an example of modern luxury, we wanted the font to be quite simple as we are selling a health brand, not a luxury perfume/clothing brand. Please keep this idea in mind when designing a label, although we require it to look ornate and luxurious, please remember this is a health and dietary supplement brand, sometimes less is more. (see images included) The background of the female logo should be white with the gold writing (attached) The background of the male logo should be black with the silver writing. (attached, not put together) Design Values As previously mentioned, the creative inspiration is the historical era of Ancient Greece. This was a time of great luxury and lavish designs. In this period of history, the women styled themselves on Goddesses, and the men on Gods. This meant the women wore copious amounts of finery such as jewelery. Whereas men styled themselves on fierce warriors, adorning themselves in tough leather, and metals. Everything was marble, gold, bronze, and precious jewels, we would love to see this reflected in a modern representation on our labels. We ideally want something that would look good on a dressing table, much like a perfume or aftershave bottle. Stylistically we would like the overall brand packaging to look expensive as if it were worth £90. The materials used will be glass pharmac 250ml bottles (photo included) as we wanted something tactile and hardy. The measurements for the label will be: -73mm in height -190mm in circumference Colours We have very specific design colours we wish for you to use. For the female range the label must be ornate, lavish and sophisticated. For the male range the label must be tough, masculine and evoke ideas of a hero or god-like deity. For the male product (Apollo) we would like to see a creative design based around the colours black, charcoal silver and grey, see the logo for inspiration. The official logo for the male product has not been attached as the font and logo have to be put together. However, the logo is identical in format to the female (aphrodite) product which has been attached. The only differences are that it is silver, has a black background and has “Apollo” written below the title. We would expect to see this represented in the design. For the female product (Aphrodite) we would like to see a unique design based around the colours white or white pearlescent, gold, rose gold and copper (please see official logo attached). It would be great to see uniformity in design features running through both the Apollo and Aphrodite ranges. Such as a pattern, logo position or design feature to show that they are from the same brand and not entirely different products. We would like the same label design for the Apollo and Aphrodite range, just in their specific colours. When you submit your designs please submit one Multivitamin Label (information included below) for the Aphrodite range and one for Apollo range so we can see how the label looks in both colours/designs. WHAT WE WOULD LIKE INCLUDED ON AN EXAMPLE MULTIVITAMIN LABEL: I have included the label we currently use on our "Basic range", we do not want a design like this but you can see how the information its laid out. -Suggested Use: As a food supplement for adults, take 1 tablet up to 2 times a day before or during a mealtime at mealtime, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Do not exceed stated dose. Do not use if the seal is broken. -Multivitamin Tablet Ingredients: Vitamin A,B1,B2,B3,B6,B12,Biotin, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, D3, E, K2, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Di-calcium Phosphate, Magnesium Stearate. -Opulence is a luxury brand combining the pioneering medical knowledge of Ancient Greek civilization with the modern ideas of today. We find the best ingredients to create a luxurious product to suit your nutritional needs. Please be aware that this product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. -No added sugars, preservatives, sweeteners or colours. For allergens see ingredients in bold. -This product should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet or a healthy lifestyle. This product is suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians. -Cautions: Keep out of sight and reach of children. If you are pregnant or breast feeding, please consult your healthcare practitioner before use. Not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. Discontinue use and consult a doctor if adverse reactions occur.
