Description of the product
Low carb foods (starting with noodles) that taste great, easy to make / convenient and great value (mid to low price point). Ideal for Keto, Plaeo, Gluten Free and other Restricted Carb diets.
Description of the product target audience
Married / working women 30+ years old with children (who buy on behalf of the family) in the US following a Keto, Paleo or Diabetic diet, or who are looking to lose weight with a low carb diet. Men 35+ years old are secondary target but not necessarily married with kids (but are also following similar diet). Both are mid-to-upper income, very active online via social media, used to buying products online, with an interest in health and physical activity.
Labels for the front and back of a plastic pouch with noodles. The front must have company logo, product brand name and type, variety (ex. Angel Hair, Fettuccine), image of three key benefits (time to prepare, # of carbs, # of calories) and text of other benefits / keywords such as Gluten Free, Keto Diet, Paleo Diet, Sugar Free, etc. The back must have short product description, image of steps to prepare (rinse, microwave/boil, add sauce), nutrition label, ingredients list, UPC code, company name / address and website. Attached: - Overview of what is required on the label in more detail - Sample of labels on same plastic pouches as I will be using - Hand-drawn image of ideas I had for the layout (but feel free to come up with your own design) - Nutrition label (note will need to change unit numbers) - Photos of competitive product labels - UPC code for Angel Hair noodles (I have two more for Fettuccini and Rice) - Photos of food & beverage packaging that I found appealing (mostly vintage / retro but some funny too) I will require three variations of the label (front only) for each product type: Angel Hair, Fettuccini and Rice. I will also contract the winning designer to design the multi-pack box for shipping and retail packaging at a later date.
What to avoid
These are not things to avoid but things I like: 1. A bit of a bold look and LOKARB NOODLES headline that makes it obvious what the package contains at a glance. Note that LOKARB should have a registered mark. 2. Clean, visual vs text and a bit retro / vintage in design would be cool; text mostly in caps. 3. Don't hesitate to use a bit of humour!
