Food & Drink
We import and market wines from small, artisanal, family owned wineries. Our portfolio is carefully selected to reflect the company's values of preserving and promoting wine traditions and authenticity.
What's your vision?
A label design for a wine from Spain, named "Las Bas," after the vineyard where the grapes are grown. We are asking for two variations of the same design, for a white and a red we will be carrying. The labels should have the same design, with some difference in color (and one word change for the grape name) to distinguish the two. Required text for red wine: Las Bas Merlot 2015 Somontano Required text for white wine: Las Bas Gewurztraminer 2015 Somontano Please DO NOT include our name (The Artisan Collection), our logo or tasting notes. The winery is in the North East of Spain, near the Pyrenees Mountains. The wine will retail for $12-14, geared toward young professionals (aged 25-45 years). Tasting notes for the Merlot: Cherry red color with aromas of ripe red fruits, cacao and minerals. Tasting notes for the Gewurztraminer: Pale yellow color, with hints of green. Aromas of exotic and citrus fruits, with layers of honey and floral scents. Fresh flavors of citrus with a smooth finish.
The first attached file is of the bottle shape. It is a Bordeaux bottle with slightly wider shoulders than usual. The second file is a concept we have come up with after seeing various submissions. As the winery is located near the mountains, we would be interested in seeing versions in which the 'A' of 'LAS' forms an abstracted mountain shape. We would be curious to see any variations on this idea, particularly designs that look slightly hand-drawn, but in a refined, polished way.
