You are designing the new box packaging for our market leading back support brace. Your design will eventually be the template for all our products. I want my customer to feel this is a premium high quality product. It's important to know that not just elderly folk buy this product, but young, fashionable people who like to show it off at the gym! From research we understand our MEDiBrace logo helps to sell the product, so we'd preferably like it big in your design (but open to anything). It's worth noting, we do like the minimalistic design approach of companies like Apple. We like fresh, simple but eye catching.
The box will be high spec, unusual (see images). We're considering exploring a raised foil on the box in the form of the logo.
The product has been through two previous versions where we have continually improved the product, this will be the third and last version. The "II" currently part of 'MEDiBrace" logo will be a "3". Most of the information about the product is on a booklet included inside with the product, so the outside could be kept minimal. The are multiple sizes (Small, Medium, Large, XL, XXL, 3XL) variations and up to four different colours. However this information will be a sticker on the part of the box that juts out. The inner tray part of the box could be the same pantone colour as the main colour material on the product. We certainly like this idea.
Also, we usually change the pantone of our logo to match the primary material colour of the product. (see images) The Sky (light) blue colour will be the first colour we introduce for sale.
We have uploaded an image of the box design we liked best in terms of form. As you can see it is slightly unusual, exposing the inner part of the drawer box which is visible and will be the same pantone as the colour of the primary material of the belt (eg Sky Blue). Feel free to change the design of the box a bit if you have some ideas, it is not set in stone yet. (We like unusual and different!) I've also uploaded a couple of my own primitive sketches that might help (or hinder) you! They are by no means intended to help guide you to the design, they were just some ideas. I've also uploaded 'designs-we-liked' images to show you how the foil is used on boxes to create an impression. Quite nice designs too. It's a belt or a brace too, available in different colours, so that might give you some design inspiration perhaps?
Hope all this info helps!
