FillMyRecipe (FMR) enables its customers to experience cultures in an awesome and exciting, way. We empower novice and seasoned cooking enthusiasts by helping them unleash their culinary potential, one meal at a time. FMR achieves this by providing customers with convenient recipe kits for 2 servings, containing pre-portioned, all natural dry ingredients, time-tested recipes, and easy to follow instructions. Customers have the pleasure of choosing their own fresh, juicy vegetables from their favorite grocery store, thus, encouraging economic growth of their local farmers and local grocers. In addition, portion of the sales proceeds are donated to local charities. A win for the customer (no more bags of spices wasting on pantry shelves), win for their community (supporting local grocers and farmers), and win for their local charities!
What's your vision?
Hey Designers, Here is an interesting and challenging assignment for you! If you have experience in designing food packages, are intrigued by our unique concept, and be part of our success story, this contest is for you! Through your expert designs, we want to attract adventurous people interested in trying out different cuisines. We are embarking on Indian cuisine and intend to expand to other ethnic cuisines soon. The superior ingredients in these recipe kits are all natural, organic, and do not contain any sodium, oil, additives or preservatives. All ingredients have several well known health benefits. Our products are NOT the ready-to-cook microwaveable dinner options. Our packages require customers to cook from scratch, the authentic way, bringing out the flavors of spices as they are added one at a time, in the cooking process, filling the kitchen with tantalizing aromas along the way! We need to differentiate our product from the microwaveable stuff. We are debating whether to have a window to display the individually packed ingredients or whether to skip the window and somehow provide that information through the package design. Please submit ideas for both options (window and no window). Who are our customers? Our target customers are high-end shoppers in the 25-50 year range who are interested in foreign foods. Vast majority of them have college degrees with a median household income of $ 65,700. Think of stores like Co-ops, Specialty stores, or Whole Foods shoppers who are health conscious and willing to pay for quality products. The package design should have an emotional appeal with emphasis on: - Empowerment (feeling good about themselves for helping their communities) - Make heartwarming memories as a family - Take pride in their own creation (bragging rights! – Yes, I can! feeling) - Convenience of pre-portioned ingredients - Health benefits of all natural ingredients - Eat well, support local grocers, farmers, charities Package specs: We will use 4.5” x 6” x ¾” folding carton (350gsm) for packaging. The package will have WHITE background. Opportunity to use front, back, sides, top and bottom. Here is info that needs to go onto the packages: Logo (Attached files) We want the logo to pop-op and be prominent on the package Brand name + Tag line (Attached files) Net weight (approximately 1 oz.) Display the information as a list. In this case, our box will not have any window. 2. Display the contents through a window on the box. In this case, we need a an arrow pointing to the window (bowl shape window? Rectangular window? Etc.) We need designs with both options above so that we can choose. GMarie78 was amazing to work with from beginning to end! She followed every change I suggested in a very timely manner. She even provided her own ideas in addition to giving me what I requested. Her designs were beautiful from the start! I can't wait to work with her on my next projects!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
