Medical & Pharmaceutical
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Product allows a person with limited ability to bend at the waist to care for their toes and toe nails. The product allows a person to dry between toes and to apply medication to toes and toe nails fro sitting, standing or reclining positions. Proper foot and toe hygiene is important for all, and critical for persons with diabetes. The product would be carried by pharmacies and medical equipment supply stores in their foot care displays.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We envision a clear cello package having a loop for display hook. Package would hold a folded, vertical Dri-Toes unit, a package holding 7 small Drying Socks and a small mesh draw-string laundering bag, a package of 10 Sterile Socks, and a folded "Instructions for Use" sheet with text and photos. The Dri-Toes device folded will be about 11 inches long, comprised of two slats, joined at the ends by a hinge pin. The unit will be white or tan and have the name and logo, "Dri-Toes" (in italics) painted in blue visible through the cello package. The Dri-Toes unit may be attached to a cardboard backing that would allow photos of the unit in use on the front and back. Objective is for a prospective buyer to immediately see and understand the use of the product while on the hook. Taking it off the hook, on reverse, a prospective buyer reads the medical "why buy" quote from a doctor; abbreviated operating instructions; contents list; additional photos of unit in use; a smart phone QR code that takes a prospective buyer to a Dri-Toes website having information on the importance of the device and videos of it being used; space for UPC block and manufacturer info in lower corners. We are thinking about the package being less than 12 inches long and 3.5 in. to 4 in. wide. Drying Socks and Sterile Socks insert cello packages would each be about 2.5 in. wide x 3 in. long x 2 in. deep, with contents written on each package. Drying Sock package would also contain a small mesh draw-string laundering bag. Cardboard backing should have the slot hook to prevent easy tearing from display hook. Slot hook must be at location to allow unit to hang vertically from hook (important if your design has the unit attached to the side of the backing) which would allow more space for front photos. We are thinking that the unit would look more attractive and allow the logo name on the unit to be read more easily if the unit is attached to the backing diagonally rather than exactly vertically in the package. This would also help to keep the package length less than 12 inches. We do not think this would be good as a "blister" wrapped item. For sanitary reasons, he entire package including the mounting backing should be enclosed within a cello package. Writing on the cello package if necessary is an option.
