Silicone Breast Pump
Description of the product
It is a manual silicone breast pump which will help to draw let down or leaking breast milk through natural suction.
Description of the product target audience
Breastfeeding mums who wish to get as much breast milk for either storing or giving to their babies straight away after expressing. The most likely age is from 20-35 years old. Expressing milk this way will help the mum get out more to social events, shopping, coffee etc.
To design the packaging for our first product, a Silicone Breast Pump using our colour palette (see file- Brand guide please refer to for colour palette and more). The design of the box should be clean, simple, fresh and uncomplicated. We love the style of the BeeMom packaging you can see in the Competitor Research document we have provided (see file - competitors), but with our OWN stamp on it and a slightly smaller image of the pump and the pump being on the right side of the page. GUIDE TO OUR BRAND AND VISUAL INDENTITY. ON THE BACK OF THE BOX- Diagrams We have supplied examples of our competitors diagrams that work really well, we would like to include the same instructional steps but in our OWN style of diagram that matches OUR brand. Diagram 1: With the pump on the breast and showing fingers squeezing the pump in the lower third of the pump (at the 50 ml mark) Text under the diagram- Please wash thoroughly before use Gently massage or place a warm flannel over your breast to encourage flow BEFORE placing the pump onto your breast. When your baby is ready to feed, simply place pump over the other breast Squeeze near the 50 ml/ 2 oz mark (note DO NOT squeeze too close to the neck otherwise the pump will not work as effectively) Let the gentle suction draw your milk, however if necessary gently rub your breast to encourage flow Diagram 2: Show the milk being poured out of the pump via the special pouring groove and into a baby bottle or milk storage bag. (Image supplied in Logo, brand section). Please use this image as a reference for the diagram. Text under the diagram- Once you stop producing milk gently remove the pump Pour the milk into a bottle or storage bag using the specially designed pouring groove to avoid any spills Remember milk will expand so fill bags 3/4 full Simply clean and air dry the pump after each use OTHER Space for Amazons own barcode (FNSKU) on the rear of the product with Made in China (very small near barcode) (see attached file - BARCODE (Amazon FNSKU)). Designed and Hand Tested by Blossoming Tots Ltd, 34 Dufferin Ave, Bangor, Co Down, UK, BT20 3AA firstname.lastname@example.org www.blossomingtots.com SIDES AND TOP We like the idea of having our green brand colour going on the sides and the top of the box. The top with Silicone Breast Pump on it. And our green, white and blue logo on it so that it stands out (see file Logo green background blue font). The front and back comprising of mostly a crisp colour or other suggested colours welcomed within our palette. Our logo must be on the front and back and be sized so that it is easily seen and prominent. On the front-We would like an image of the breast pump which will be our main image and to the right of the front, however we do not want it to be over powering. Also an image of a mother and her baby in a close loving embrace on the front.
What to avoid
We don't want any extra colours that aren't in our brand guidelines. We don't want it to look cheesy or overly sentimental. We want to be seen as a practical company who know what they're doing and have confidence in what we sell.

And then… they selected a winner!
Stan did a fantastic job and over delivered on expectations. He offered creativity in the instructions portion of the package that was not requested but looks great and translates to the consumer very well. I highly recommend Stan for anyone looking for a package design. Thank you again for your work.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
