Description of the product
Wander: acrylic yarn for knitting or crocheting with boundless potential Wander is Furls' first acrylic yarn, soft and satiny, in a wide variety of colors, for fiber artists looking for versatility.
Description of the product target audience
Fiber artists on a budget who care about high-end products - for more of what we do, see our website (furlscrochet.com). Knitters/crocheters are predominantly female and largely fall between the ages of 35-65 (moms or grandmoms). Our demographic are fiber artists and craftspeople who care about heritage, quality materials, and great hand feel. Average to above average income level.
We want 3 things: (1) a beautiful, approachable line illustration (see our inspiration picks) that evokes nature/wandering, craft, and boundless opportunity/potential set semi-transparently behind (2) our key text (brand name, product name, tagline) and (3) strong border lines (again, see inspiration picks, border lines can be strokes/paths or sections of color). Would love to see yarn imagery incorporated but not a requirement. Fonts should be somewhat playful but elegant, highly legible, and include Open Sans Condensed.
What to avoid
Stock imagery should only be included as illustration. Background color should be white and text + image colors should be soft to allow the actual color of the yarn to speak.
Total size: 295x50mm. Glue zone: 10x50mm on the far right. Artwork size: 285x50mm. Please leave a 40x40mm square (5mm margin from top/bottom + glue zone) where we will place yarn specs + UPC box. We will need final file as AI.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their product packaging.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Furls Crochet collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Karen delivered everything we were looking for in our new yarn label, and the customer polls agreed! Swift communication, very well organized final files, a fantastic designer and a pleasure to work with.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
