Key features of the design:

- Hexagons / piles to represent the origin of the name.
- O and I connect the pile and hexagon shapes into POSTPILE and form the transition.
- The combination of the piles and hexagons can be seen as a forest (negative space) - to represent the outdoors (particularly for people who aren't familiar with the National Monument - I'm Australian and didn't know about it until this contest.)
- The text is can be seen as either under or in the "tree canopy" to give the idea of outdoors and camping. (depends whether you look at the positive or negative space)
- The font used is "Avenir Next" but each letter has been modified slightly. This font unmodified would be suitable for your general use in all its weights.
- POSTPILE with the 2 hexagons can be used as a standalone image.
