This started as 1-1 project with my favorite client so far. At the beginning, it was just some cute skulls with pig tails and bones crossed (That's how he called it "Cupcake Crossbones"). It was meant to be T-shirt application. As the time went by, the client wasn't really sure what would be the next step or which direction to take so we ran around in circles, trying to reinvent the wheel while making some confusing concepts.. After while, it just came to me that we should simply take what we already have and mix it up with pop culture somehow. The client agreed and that was it.

Right now I'm making sketches for more than 30 new skull characters, including Marilyn Monroe, Capt. Jack Sparrow, Cersei, Mad Hatter, Daenerys etc. All great icons of pop culture.
