Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Johnson Machine Works is a steel fabrication company established in 1907. We do a wide range of steel fabrication projects. Specifically, regarding this project, we do large fabrications for the United States government, and the Bureau of reclamation's. We fabricate the large gates that operate on the locks and dams, similar to what you would see on the Panama Canal. The big steel structures that hold back water.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I need to design a colorful and exciting display for our tradeshow booth at an upcoming tradeshow that showcases our work building large steel miter gates that operate at lock chambers throughout the united states. Unfortunately I don't have a good image of a miter gate - just a lot of good shops from inside our shops. So I am hoping that you can investigate our website, look-up "miter gates" and come up with a design that blends our logo, photos, and graphics to represent the product that we build. I have attached the template for the display ( The template for the display is confusing, because it references the dimensions "3x3", but it is really 8' x 8' – just follow the template with end caps and the dimensions that they've listed there and you'll be fine). I need the one large background display, and two narrow standup displays (1x3-ratio, 8' tall, template not shown) that should complement the large background. I have also included a PDF that specifies the artwork guidelines that we need to follow to send to the person that will produce the background and display items. View our website at http://www.jmworks.com and see if there are elements that you'd want to pull from that site to include in your design.
I am looking for maximum creativity!!, and an artistic way to blend some or all of the images that I have uploaded, something that really excites the people that would walk by our booth, and invites them to ask more questions about her company. Feel free to use graphics of your own, as well as text, as well as our photographs.
