YouTube are changing the layout of their channel design to be compatible with Mobile Desktop & TV
They have now a dynamic main image for channel art (dims below & template file available also)
I also noticed that the example above shows a user who has incorporated his logo into the design (Black background with green V) which is quite nice I think.
Im not 100% if this can be worked into the new design or if it would work at all with the globe section of our logo.
What we do for Facebook when we change the timeline banner, we also change the Background color of the logo to match the overriding color of the new design. This way the user who sees our thumbnail logo sees that something has changed also
This might be something we could do with the new YouTube channel to keep things fresh
For Twitter we used a picture collage & on our LinkedIn account too.
Which I thinks works quite well however it might be nice to do something different here for YouTube maybe? Something that would appeal to the younger demographic. (18-24 Males & Females)
In relation to the color scheme. It should run along the lines fo the colors of our website. http://www.eilireland.org
Please note that each page has a different color so the palette can be quite varied.
