Amanda.Bonney got their new social media page by running a design contest:
Natural Gardening and Herbalism design for budding plant enthusiasts
Check out Amanda.Bonney's Social media page contest…
Something that is based on gardening, herbalism, and wildcrafting. Wildcrafting means harvesting plants sustainably, and in a regenerative manner, out in the wild. The visual style needs to be natural, somewhat exciting, vibrant, and pleasing to the eye. Must involve plants, flowers, trees, etc. to represent the group's brand. Also helpful if you can provide items that represent herbalism, such as a mortar and pestle or jars of dried plants. I am looking for the image to not be too cluttered but not too vague and empty either. A nice healthy balance that incorporates herbalism and gardening, since wildcrafting is "gardening" done outside the home in the wild. I do not have a preference between illustrated or photographed.
Wildcrafting, Gardening, and Herbalism Just need the name more than anything else. Most of our members garden or make their own medicine through herbalism, so elements of these two are critically important. Lots of natural greens and browns with complimenting golds or other colors is recommended, though having other colors that pop out would be fantastic as well. I want the image to communicate "natural, holistic, vibrant, organic, and earth based". I'd also like the lettering in the image to stand out and be readable. Nothing too curvy, but something not rugged either. A pleasing in between that matches the theme of the logo.
What to avoid
Modern, futuristic, geometric, or otherwise unnatural shapes and designs. I would like it to remain outdoor and landscaped based.
