phjr got their new t-shirt by running a design contest:
T-Shirt to inspire achievers: inventors, scientists, entrepreneurs
Check out phjr's T-shirt contest…
Yes, I created an inspiration "mood board" at https://www.pinterest.com/phjr2/human-achievement/ I'd like to create a t-shirt that established and aspiring entrepreneurs, inventors, scientists etc. would be proud to wear to express the values that drive them in their achievements. Please use at least one picture (can be well-selected stock), with words such as: achievement, productiveness, mastery, creativity, imagination, science, technology, performance, energy. I leave some openness so you can focus on what you feel passionate and inspired by. I'd like the design to primarily convey such a feeling. Some existing designs that I like (don't take them too literally): https://99designs.co.uk/profiles/508449/designs/479660 https://99designs.co.uk/profiles/harders/designs/586598 https://99designs.co.uk/profiles/harders/designs/18696 https://99designs.co.uk/profiles/harders/designs/18661 https://99designs.co.uk/profiles/konstantinkostenko/designs/1382331 https://99designs.co.uk/profiles/pikimoko/designs/836879 https://99designs.co.uk/profiles/frantictees/designs/16769 https://99designs.co.uk/profiles/frantictees/designs/16633
Celebrate what human mind can achieve at its best, and inspire established and aspiring inventors, scientists, and entrepreneurs. Focus on the values and character traits (e.g. productiveness, ingenuity), and how the invention (if you decide to include it in your design) would appeal to its users.
What to avoid
1) Avoid what could be interpreted as dystopian; for example, just a robot, or a future which does not leave room for voluntary choices. 2) Avoid magical/fantasy, i.e. what does not follow intelligible laws of physics.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. T-shirt starts at £159.

It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their t-shirt.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
phjr collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected 3 winners!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
