RedBeard got their new web page design (coded) by running a design contest:
$500 Coded Template for Lighting Company Storefront
Check out RedBeard's Web Page Design (Coded) contest…
We're setting up an ecommerce site for a lighting manufacturer in Orlando. The site will be for retail and wholesale.
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: The client likes dark blue, cream, and optionally red Desired Style: Contemporary and Modern. The products are contemporary (unfortunately, I don't have pictures yet, photography is still being setup). Accepted File Formats: PSD, CSS, HTML, JPG, GIF We're creating a site using the storefront software at www.AspDotNetStorefront.com. The client manufactures and sells their own line of lighting (desk lamps, floor lamps, chandaliers, etc.). The site will serve as the client's only retail sales outlet. It will also serve as an additional outlet for wholesale sles. As an example, the client really likes LampsPlus.com. We would like this project coded using CSS extensively. And we will also require the template in Photoshop format so that we can perform changes later if necessary. We plan to roll this solution out to several more clients over the next few months, so the winner of this contest also will get the first crack at our next few clients. We will require the following coded pages: - Landing/Home page template - Product Page template - Simple "Coming March 2007" page to be displayed during storefront development. Client's logo:

99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
