salesX6 got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Need attractive and user friendly marketplace web pages for breast pump buyers and sellers
Check out salesX6's Web page design contest…
Stork & Daisy will sell breast pumps on a "Try & Buy" basis in addition to providing a marketplace for users to buy and sell used/renewed breast pumps. Our target audience is new moms and moms looking to resell their pump when they are finished with it.
We're looking to build the marketplace only as the Try & Buy portion of the site is done on our beta site (wixsite link). We want it to be bright, welcoming, and very user friendly. Style and theme should match our current site with the addition of bright colors like green and yellow. Marketplace images don't need to include pictures of babies or anything like our main site does.
Home Page - Like when you navigate to the eBay link above, don't want a really big header image unless it has a clear purpose/call to action. Item details page - with a grid of recommended add on items (like accessory kits, pumping bra, car chargers, etc), a grid of similar items, and a grid of sponsored items. Checkout pages - when a user adds an item to their cart, we need the pages for the checkout process - will be using paypal as our merchant provider. Create Listing page - input form where the seller can enter details about the item they are selling. We want to only allow certain inputs, so It will start with 1) what type of item are you selling? (drop down) electric breast pump, manual breast pump, parts & accessories. Depending on what they select, the next question will appear either below or on a "next" page with the next question. There will be 8-10 questions on this page or set of pages. My Account pages - this will differ for buyers and sellers. Buyers will be able to view their order receipt and tracking information as well an manage and view their watch list. Sellers will be able to manage their listing/update their price, view their sale(s), etc.
What to avoid
We don't want anything to be a grid view, it looks too busy and crowded. We don't want anything outside of our color scheme, which is the attached blue, pink, yellow, green.
Here is our navigation page on our current Stork & Daisy site. Once the user clicks one of these options, it will take them to either the Home Page or the Create Listing page.
