Luminous. Our site is http://www.luminouslenses.com.
Luminous Lenses is Bright Light Ventures' latest project. Bright Light created GreenPrint Software, ProgressiveRx.com, and phww.org. Luminous will hit the market sometime in September but we need a website immediately as we are already beginning to receive pre-launch press.
We will be selling to anyone who needs contact lenses anywhere in the world. We are looking for the brand, the site, and the packaging to be much more contemporary and stylish than what is currently on the market, but the site also needs to be extremely user friendly as many of our customers may not be very tech savvy. The site ideally would be a bold, contemporary design, yet simple and intuitive enough that my 93 year old grandmother could navigate it.
We are looking for a brand and a website that is much more contemporary and stylish than what is currently out there, but it also needs to be simple and intuitive to easily navigate. The aesthetic should resemble a trendy bar, an expensive contemporary furniture store, or the fashion design world.
The five, somewhat overlapping characteristics ideally the design will embody are: Contemporary, Elegant, Pure, Simple, Luxury.
All fonts used should be sans serif and very modern looking, as well as simple and professional.
The background should probably be white with accent color preference being blue, black and gray. The logo should be fairly prominent (although that doesn't necessarily mean large).
Sites that reflect some of the character we are going for: Apple's landing page, Design Within Reach (http://www.dwr.com), , MidTone Design (http://www.midtonedesign.com), Shoe Guru (http://shoeguru.ca/products/shoes/c…e-jp-white), LaLique (http://www.cristallalique.fr/v2/english.html).
The front page should say "High Definition Soft Contact Lenses for $9.99 a box". We'll tweak the wording later. Other items on the front page: Buy, FAQ, News, and About Us. We'll be using e-junkie as our shopping cart - http://www.e-junkie.com.
I have uploaded some style references for additional guidance but they shouldn't be seen as definitive.
We are really excited to see your ideas!
