matuzX got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Clear Lading Page of Community-Driven Open Database of Vulnerability Exploitation for Hackers
Check out matuzX's Web page design contest…
In cyber security researchers say a vulnerability is exploited "in the wild" if it is actively exploited by malicious hackers. There are yearly 100k vulnerabilities, 5k have known exploits, and 50 is actually exploited. It is hard for security people and sysadmins to figure out how urgent it is to patch something. One thing is clear: if it is one of those 50 they need to do immediately. If it is one of the 5k it is important but not critical. There is only hours to update in case something is actively exploited. There is no sufficiently quickly updated, unpaid database of what is being exploited. Having such a database needs contribution from the community that find evidence of exploitation. We aim to fix this: we move quickly, people can post such updates via an API or just tagging our account on Twitter or LinkedIn, where security researchers share this information anyway. We make are database available for free so people can make the internet safer with the information. There is an open database that has information on this as well but for them being right and precise is more important than moving quick. We want to focus only on the quick moving part (exploits/exploitation) https://nvd.nist.gov/ The point of the website is to effectively transmit this message so people will likely share it, that hopefully results in people contributing because they see that it is enough to do it only on this site and eventually it will propagate.
Hacking, Development so it should have a dark mode classic association is the green-black command line, but it does not need to be this or even "hackery" all together: https://cdn-media-1.freecodecamp.org/images/s4TaSPA00m6z8DsVCwj2S7M2b-ilOYWRq6A7 But more then style the important thing is to effectively convey a message as mostly it is only going to be an informational page. People will land here when they search in google, find the user on Twitter or shared (sharing the page) Most people will interact with us via Twitter, LinkedIn or API
Our thinking is that the following are useful, but feel free to add and remove: Message (what we do and why) A few examples of the most recent contributions Explanation on how (easy it is) to contribute
