The homepage should feature our logo prominently at the top (middle or side?), and make clear who we are. In addition to drop down menus for the full range of the site, we would like users to be able to easily navigate, through prominent links/clickable areas/icons to:
Action items for our main services: (i) Open a din torah (arbitration) case, (ii) Contact us about opening a Get (Jewish divorce) case, (iii) Open a Jewish status determination case and (iv) Online Continuing Legal Education Seminars (this is a new service and isn’t yet on our current website; the CLE seminars stand apart from our basic services, so this might deserve its own space on the homepage).
And also to the following forms and information pages: (i) Beth Din of America Prenuptial Agreement (this will link to http://www.theprenup.org), (ii) Journal of the Beth Din of America, (iii) Reported Decisions of the Beth Din of America and (iv) Halachic (Jewish law) forms.
In addition, basic information should be viewable from the homepage, perhaps on the bottom banner, such as (i) our contact information, (ii) biographical information about the staff or a link to biographical info page, (iii) sign up field for e-mail updates and (iv) that we are affiliated with the Rabbinical Council of America and supported by the Orthodox Union (with their respective logos).
Finally, somewhere somewhat discreetly on the page there should be a “make a payment” button that will link to a page where customers can make a payment.
