Designers from around the world are submitting creative designs for vir2instruments in web page design - custom.
BigFishAudio.com is looking for a redesign of its web site. We are the the largest company in the music/sample/loop library industry; we showcase hundreds of products in many different formats, styles, and compatibilities, and need to make sure that (1) our users can quickly and easily find what they are looking for, and (2) that we can attractively showcase the latest hot products in an eye-catching way. We're looking for a new approach to this.
This is for a graphic design only, no coding included. (We can discuss coding with the winner after the end of the contest, if the winner is interested.) Delivery of the mock-ups are expected as layered PSD files.
Big Fish Audio
The home page must have:*BigFishAudio.com logo, supplied here Big Fish Audio Logo
*Search text box (prominent)
*Main menu area that includes links to: Loops, Instruments, Formats, Brand Names, and Downloads (these are all major areas of our site)
*A secondary menu that includes links to: Shopping Cart, Shipping, News, Support, Where To Buy, About Us, and My Account.
*A central graphic area where we can post our main new products (similar to the big central ad on the current site -- and we will likely use a javascript to rotate between several slides).
*An area where we can post graphics of other important new products (similar to the 3x4 grid of rectangular boxes in the bottom center of the current site).
*Three top 5 charts: one for New Products, one for Hot Products and one as recommended products based on user's previous purchases (similar to the right side of the current site).
*A dynamic news headline area.
*Feel free to lift images and product shots from our current site as temporary placeholders.
- Clean, elegant style graphic design. Because we have a variety of products, all with different artwork and color schemes, the web site must be able to support the display of these products without clashing or detracting from them.
- Clutter and busy-ness. We have a lot of content to squeeze in, so we realize it's going to be busy, but simpler is better.- No fish, no aquatic themes. No trite or cliched music themes. No flying musical notes, no high school band instruments.- We don't want a generic template looking site. We want it functional and original.
