Site should be designed & written for high-school level audience. Audience may have slow Internet connections and old computers and browsers, so we don’t need things like flash and big pictures that might bog down load time.
A site we kind-of like is: http://www.steinbergspencer.com. What we like: (a) phone number prominent; (b) feels personal with the picture of the attorney front and center; (c) the free-consultation form; and (d) “Se Habla Espanol”. Don’t like: (a) the top (logo and phone number) takes up way too much space; (b) don’t like the animated woman who comes out (we don’t need that); (c) don’t like the yellow, changing marquee; and (d) too much content on the home page.
Another: http://www.sdinjurylaw.com. What we like: (a) picture of the operator, lending a personal nature to the site; (b) Skype phone number; (c) top panel (logo, phone number, prominent links of “Home”, “About Us”, and “Contact Us”). Don’t: (a) don’t need the flash in the middle with the changing pictures and fly-in text.
Top could be ala sdinjurylaw.com but smaller. Logo just “The Law Offices of Jeffrey Segal”. Whatever font looks good. Center “Se Habla Espanol” & beneath that “English | Spanish”. Right: “Call For Free Advice!”, 1-800-500-8922, skype underneath. Image to the right of the text.
