Jellly is a tool that let’s you find web pages related to what you’re currently browsing. It’s like Amazon’s recommendations or YouTube’s related videos, but for the entire web.
The current home/landing page we have up is designed by a non-designer (me), and could use a good redesign. The current one is a little plain/bland and just looks like it’s missing something. We’d still like it to have a clean, uncluttered look though, fitting for a modern web startup.
The main purpose of the new landing page will be to explain what Jellly is and convince people to try our browser extension. So there will be a big button for it somewhere on the page, and the design should strongly feature it.
As for more specific requirements:
- Keep the logo typographical (think Facebook/Flickr/Google), we don’t want a mascot.
- There needs to be a navigation bar of some sort - Blog/Learn More/About/Feedback.
- The main thing we want people to be directed at is a single button which is supposed to install our browser extension.
- It would be nice to have a simple graphic which helps people understand what Jellly does at a glance. We don’t have screenshots, so it would have to be some type of simple illustration.
