Design for an online website auditing tool

Meta Forensics is a website auditing tool that helps identify problems on a site. It is a tool targeted mainly at those people who work in technical SEO, but also website managers, developers and UX'ers.

Currently the site uses almost vanilla Bootstrap styling to give the pages structure, with only a few minor colour changes. I would like the new design to be a slick, modern design that you see with a lot of the popular online tools and applications.

I would like more imagery on the homepage especially, be that app screenshots or iconography/basic illustration. (stock) I would like a modern, simple design inspired by the types of sites listed.

The audience is almost entirely desktop users, so please focus on that screen size.
