What's your vision?
Accepted File Formats: Layered PSD with all Elements as single Items. TR is an upcoming music and contest related social networking and communitainment website with heavy focus on user generated content. The emphasis of TR is "singing and competition" and not "listening to music". Therefore the website should be: Playful, but not childish Hip, but not over the top or too stylized Colorful and light, but in accordance to the main colors of our logo Entertaining/Disco/Rockn Roll but not confusing, unstructured or overwhelming Target Group: Kar. is for everybody but mainly Post-Modern Trend-Setters Modern Mainstream Upper Liberal Social Climber Task: Please design a homepage with 2 stages (logged in / not logged in) We would like the design to integrate a social and musical aspect to it. So try to make the user want to participate. What we are looking for is a web2.0like website that incorporates our logo and its base colors in a fresh and colorful way. We ask for original and unique ideas based on a few loose guidelines that we provide. This contest is just for the home page, contracts for sub-pages will be given out separately with fair if not higher than average compensation. Focus on User Acquisition, User Activation, User Activity in the main stage(s) Simple, but attractive navigation An overall fun site with focus on user activation and participation Specific Guidelines: Please try to orientate on the downloadable scribble found here: http://img03.picoodle.com/img/img03/9/8/17/losdukos/f_TRscribblem_911526c.jpg Use the logo and its colors from here (based on the web compatible Impact font): http://img33.picoodle.com/img/img33/9/8/17/losdukos/f_trlogom_64d9f39.jpg Optimized for 1024x768 screen resolution, the home page should not be higher than 900 pixels but can be longer than the usual 700 or so. The subpages to come may be longer Top "Frame": Focus on activating the user in the top middle and login/user-admin area on the top right Not a huge header. Try to get to the content fairly quickly and dont let the header take up too much space Navigation: The navigation has 2-3 levels, with the 1st level consisting of 4-5 entries, the 2nd level of up to 10, the 3rd is optional. Please use horizontal navigation as shown in the scribble (no vertical navigation) Not to prominent but easily accessible search field with a pulldownmenu either 1row or 2row as it fits your design with a Run button instead of Go and Help/Guided Tour Main area: has to be split into various columns. We need a big stage like area in the middle which shows the activating elements and the new user generated content (up to you how to illustrate this in a fresh and unique way). The left panel shall be used for news (newest recordings and newest songs) The right panes for contests & specials. The footer contains about 8 text links with the usual stuff (e.g. About, Blog, Press, FAQ/Help, Contact etc.) Try to make it not too image heavy (anything that can be done in text css color and gradient wise, go for it) This contest is just for the home page design. The winning designer may be contacted for future work regarding the complete website design.
