entries7prize$500detailsbrief overview
Hi,
I am a 20 yr old engineering student at MIT.
I recently started a company which is developing an all electric motorcycle/unicycle called the Uno. The project started out as a highschool science fair project. The Uno first became public a year ago when the magazine "Popular Science" chose it as the invention of the year for 2008 and placed it on their cover. Since then, the Uno has graced magazines and newspapers around the world including the wallstreet journal, The New Yorker, The Chicago Times. The Uno even got me an invite to a pajama party at the playboy mansion ;)
I have always loved motorcycles having grown up watching Monster Garage and Junkyard Wars. My Opa was an engineer and I spent countless hours playing in machine shops as a kid. I also like extreme sports and have started an extreme sports company which builds this really cool powered snowboard/skateboard called the DTV Shredder ( http://www.bpg-motors.com ) .
School is not necessarily my thing, but i see it as an amazing opportunity. But my real passion is pursuing these kind of projects. I'm planning on branching out into regular electric streetbikes.
for more information google : the Uno, Ben Gulak,

Good Luck everyone!
The target Audience is anyone interested in extreme sports.
The DTV Shredder encompasses aspects from a variety of extreme sports ie: snowboarding, skateboarding, motocross, Wakeboarding, ATVing, Snowmobiling
People from a cross section of sports relate to the DTV Shredder
The Demographic for the Shredder is anyone between the ages of 10 - 30 yrs old.
MTV's Nitro Circus has requested the the DTV be on their new upcoming season and we are speaking with RedBull about endorsements.
We are just finishing another newer prototype which has an active suspension system which will allow the DTV to go over bigger jumps. We want it to be able to do everything a motocross bike can do.
I’m looking for a really unique website that is really going to stand out.
ONLY CUSTOM TYPE HEADINGS
I want part of the website to be flash, it can be some sort of intro, or cool transition scene. I understand that 99designs doesn’t allow flash programming for contests, but the winner of the contest will actually be making the site and I want some thought to go into how flash can be used in the website.
This website has some really cool animations for ideas: http://www.MovePlayCreate.com
This sport really is something new. The DTV goes 30 mph, has the same footprint as a skateboard and will go over anything. We’ve taken it over jumps, beaches, snow and forest trails. I want the website to reflect this somehow.
It should be informal, but still informative.
Headings:
- Home
- Gallery
- Performance
- Merchandise
- Opportunities
- Contact
I’m looking for a photoshop rendered custom background for the site.
There are some pictures and logos at:
http://www.4shared.com/dir/18774247…aring.html
The file is called 'DTV Website Contest'
Colors: neon/nuclear green, greyscale, black, white, orange
I want it to have the feel of some Nuclear experiment on a skateboard gone wrong, Like the Hulk. The website needs to have a mean, aggressive feeling to it.
the current website is: http://www.bpg-motors.com which is about to become the new uno site.
