How Chris Duesing started their web page design journey
http://simergence.com is the home of Simergence, Inc. which is a company that makes social games. In addition to games (and to help pay the bills) we do consulting under the same brand. The primary focus of the consulting is on scalable solutions, since we have gained a lot of experience writing websites that support lots of users. Some of our clients are making social games, but some are not.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Since our clients can be in a wide variety of industries we don't want to make the site look like it is for gamers, but we also don't want to deny our creative side and make a stuffy corporate site. Something simple and clean should fit the bill.
1) design a homepage that is simple and clean. something along the lines of
Must be completely original of course, will not accept work that violates any other designer's copyright.
2) turn over a clean .psd with well named layers etc.
winner will likely be contacted to help create a template based on the home page for the rest of the site. This will likely be around $500 directly. negotiable.
winner can also have another small project to take our logo and turn it in to something vector based. I lost the original file, so this one is a scan from my business card. So I can have more cards made etc. will pay around another $100. negotiable of course.
