blinkweb needed a new web page design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 32 designs submitted by 11 freelance designers.
Please see the "project brief" below, as I've listed some very detailed specs for you, to hopefully help you come up with a fantastic looking design! :-)
BradCallen.com
Hello, we need a homepage created. The domain name is BradCallen.com
The purpose of the website will be to give away 3 different books.
- The SEO Mindset
- The Super Affiliate Mindset
- The Adwords Mindset
We need this headline to be prominent on the top of the site:
"Get Any Of My Best Selling, Internet Marketing Courses For Free!"
Leave a sample space for each of the 3 books. I'm going to have an image designed for each book. Ideally, I would like each book to be roughly 209 pixels in width. So, just insert a sample image for now that is roughly that size. It can be smaller if you need, but the idea is to make sure that the books are extremely visible and users know what they are. If they're too small, users won't really know what they are and it won't have the same effect.
The books should span from left to right across the website. They should not be stacked, 1 on top of the other. There should be a small description of each book below the corresponding book.
Below the description of each book should be a button that says "Learn More!"
To the right hand of the site, from top to bottom, should be a section where there are comments from internet marketing gurus.
Each comment should include a small photo of the person's face, their comment, and also their website domain name.
At the bottom of the site, should be a section where users can post comments in a "What Others Think" section of the site.
This part will act like a blog, in that users will be able to post comments. Don't worry about the functionality, as our coders will program this. Just focus on designing it in a way that will look nice.
There should be a section on the site that says something like "Why you should learn from me". When users click it, it will take them to another page where I list a bunch of reason why they should listen to what I teach. Don't worry about designing that page. Just focus on where on the page, and how to display this section on the homepage.
Look & Feel:
1. Glassy/Shiny look
2. Blues and light colors always look nice
3. Need a nice looking logo image to display my domain name in the header. My main "brand" are products that end in the word "Elite", so maybe use that wording somehow.
Thank you. Looking forward to what you can come up with!
- Look glassy/shiny
- Blueish color scheme, but don't just use all blue everywhere
- Nice looking header image with nice logo that matches design
- techie looking site
- dull, not glassy
- all gray and boring colors
- neon colors and too insanely bright and amateurish color scheme
