Brief:
This contest is for a design of a new website http://www.RoomBeautiful.com.
The website will use our in house e-commerce system, examples of current sites using it include: thelittlelavenderpatch.com, thecakeplace.co.uk, tacklesupermarket.com and evening-belle.com.
There is currently no logo or tagline so we will offer a bonus of $50 or so if the right one pops up in any of the designs. The client has identified that they like the idea of a serif font similar to Americana XBdCn BT.
The prefered colour scheme is a palette of coffee or chocolate browns.
We are looking for a classic feel, a classy design that compliments the conventions and features of an online shop (seen at the website above) - i.e. when a customer arrives they should instantly know that
- they are in a shop
- it's a classy place
- it's all about mirrors, wall art, small furniture.
The design should be based on three columns with the left and right column fixed and a central fluid column as per the example sites above.
