Poker in the Park is Europe's largest poker festival taking place in Leicester Square in the heart of London for 2 days during the summer. We need a new website to communicate to all interested parts what is going on and when. The site should have a strong graphical appeal and make an immediate first impact on the visitor.
The site will consist of 2 types ofpages only. The landing page containing quick summary of what ishappening and a detail page. We need a design for both, although onthe detail page the only 1 area will change (check point 7)
You can downloadhttp://www.pokerinthepark.com/2009/mockup.jpgfor a schematic view of what we need. This is just example containingeverything we need to have on the website, but how its used, locations and proportions are open to the designer, as long as allelements are included. There is also a promotional brochure athttp://www.pokerinthepark.com/2009/brochure.pdfcontaining additional info and images
1 – Logo. You can download the 2009version from http://www.pokerinthepark.com/2009/logo_2009.psd
2 – Another branding area, as a quickcall to action
3 – Date and location for the event
4 – A map with a diagram of theevent, similar to what is featured in the center of the brochure. After clicking the user will be taken to the details page with agoogle map view of how to get to the event
5 – Options. At the moment there isonly going to be this years and last years page but we want to beable to add more options. So it actually makes sense to bring themenu across the whole site. It's up to the designer, but it must beflexible to accommodate 2 or severall options
6 – Newsletter. A small formcontaining name and email address for the user to subscribe to thenewsletter
7 – Tents. Each tent will have thesponsor logo and a short description of the theme. The 1sttent will have be events main sponsor so it will need to stand outmore. In the detail page all this individual areas will be replace bya single content area
8 – Updates. This are will containshort news about changes in the line up or other notifications. Itcan also contain photos or videos.
9 – Sponsors: List of logos of theevent sponsors
10 – Partners: Similar to sponsorsalthough is less important than the sponsor and the design mustreflect this difference. Each partner logo will also contain a smalltext description
