Medical & Pharmaceutical
We are a biotech company that specializes in stem cell therapy. We have a highly technical product that we would like to "democratize". Our target audience is a 45 year old Biotech PHD that hold VP of manufacturing position for a California based biotech firm that has a market capitalization of 250M.
We don't like super long home pages and we want the colours of the logo to be reflected in the website as well as grey = blue, green, white & optional grey We plan to do inbound marketing and need to be able to retrieve information from visitors. They will want to give us their contact information for two reasons: 1- Gain access to the pricing of the products 2- Download a guide to understand cytosine proteins Website needs to be bilingual
Home page -> should breath, have clear paths to the information and entice people to download our ebook or log in General information -> about the company, mission, history, Information page -> should be a clean information page about a specific product. Description, size and costs (only available when logged in) News -> blogs display + blog post page Contact-us
What to avoid
We might be taking professional pictures of the lab so meanwhile we can use stock images of lab stuff. We do not want to show the people working in the business, for two reasons: 1- They look young although all of them are PHDs 2- We do not want hostile offers from competitors
Hello! After discussion with the team, the following points emerged as general observation on the sketches of the websites that were produced. Basically, the general conclusion is that we believe that LAYOUT A is the one who would make the best "backbone" for the site that we want to have. We love the two squares at the top right that may allow us to put some "calls-to-action" interesting to us (such as downloading a white paper or a link to the blog, for example). For the title "Top Products", it might be good to put something in line with our mission like "provider of high-quality clinical cytokines." Immediately below we would see the description of our three types of quality (R & D, Clinical and GMP) that would lead on the product pages. After discussion, it is determined that the left pannel is probably a very good idea for us, but we would remove the address of the company (and put it in Contact us probably). We like the blue squares at the bottom ("Catalogs and Brochures" and "Scientific Collaboration"), we would however find more interesting things to put in there. Basically we believe that this home page is very well oriented to the potential customer and they would quickly find what they are looking for. We really want this page to talk more to there concerns than talk about us. Finally, the fact that everything fits in a page is definitely a plus for us. We do think the pictures should be changed to not make it too B2C and pharmaceuticals (the pictures in the style of those of LAYOUT B could very well do the trick, especially the one with the mask and the microscope images that represent our clients well). It will also rework the side panel to make it more functional and perhaps a little less intrusive. Finally, dark colors do not represent the image that we would like to highlight our website. We believe that colors similar to those of LAYOUT B might be more appropriate for us. In other sketches, there are certain elements that would like to see the site: for example, the buttons "Request a call" and "Contact" of LAYOUT C is a really good idea and you think they might find themselves in the left pannel of LAYOUT A? Also, the second page of the LAYOUT C is especially clean. We really like the look of vision (and the addition of signature). As for LAYOUT B, it's really the level of color and choice of pictures that we seemed the most interesting. In short, we believe that the perfect site for us would have the backbone of LAYOUT A, the visual appearance (colors) of LAYOUT B and purity/Cleanness (pages other than the homepage) of LAYOUT C. On the next page are found various comments from meeting participants on the various sketches. Thank you
