We had a very open ended brief for the two key pages of our website we wanted to get designs for. What we loved about using 99 designs was we got a wide variety of design iterations that allowed us to fine tune our requirements and our desired look and feel.
Nicka did a great job of providing different versions of a potential vision, while still maintaining strong usability principles in the design. When we provided feedback Nicka was able to successfully change core elements of the page to meet these new requirements. Often, other designers provided only small changes against their original vision, but Nicka did an excellent job of sticking to core design thinking principles of not getting too focused on one version of a design and rapidly creating multiple iterations of color, feel, background and layout. Nicka also was willing to go the extra mile and do minor revisions of the design after we had decided to award so that we had a no hassle handover to our development team.
We hope Nicka participates in the other contests I'm sure we will continue to have on 99designs!
He was very helpful.

What industry do you think your business is most related to?
twitter.com - we like twitter for its simplicity, use of vibrant and colorful vector illustrations as key design elements, and ability to draw users to quickly understand key actions through contrast.
japanesestreets.com - we like japanese streets because of its asain appeal, in contrast to most western fashion sites which are more catered to minimalist uses of layout and color. japanese streets balances a bright and cute graphic elements with an overall usable and well-structured layout
nymag.com - we like new york magazine because it stays simple and clean without being boring. interesting and fun fonts with bright highlighting bring the content to life
1 - Home: The homepage will present the aggregated content in interesting and relevant ways to allow users to find content easily, and enable experienced/return visitors to quickly access what is most important to them. See "home.pdf" for the wireframe of the homepage.
2 - Browse: The browse page will resemble an aggregator/rss reader page and is meant to allow users to have an interactive browsing experience without having to tab or navigate around the hundreds of various blog shops. See "browse.pdf" for the wireframe of the browse page.
Feel free to use any stock images or fonts, although we'd prefer free-commercial license for final fonts in key areas.
Please stick to the wireframes and logo set provided. Submissions that follow a different layout or don't utilize the logo will not be considered. Note: our wordmark is not finalized, so feel free to use any font that fits the theme for "shopemon" itself
