Brendon S got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Site Design for House Builders
Check out Brendon S's Web page design contest…
We need a site design for StirlingHomesQLD.com.au. The site will be running wordpress as a CMS, so your design must be supportive of this.
What's your vision?
Stirling Homes QLD builds stylish and affordable homes in Queensland, Australia. We'll be using Wordpress as a content management system for this site, with less focus on Posts and more on Pages. We intend to use the wordpress option to run a static homepage, and have the blog posts hidden away on an archive page (infrequently updated). Stirling Homes haven't had a website in a while. The old one used this logo: http://www.tailored.com.au/stirling/logo.jpg We don't have a better quality version of that, but its simple enough that it shouldn't matter. We'd like a banner image at the top. The banner should feature something like a smiling family by a letterbox or fence. We were going to put photos of houses, but thought that visitors who didn't like the featured pictures might be put off the entire site by this. Site layout (menu location, sidebar, etc) is largely up to you. We'll provide feedback on entries as the contest progresses. Color choice is unimportant - key words here are safety, security, and elegance, so you might aim for colors to invoke these feelings. Menu buttons for now are: Home, Archives, About, Building Process, Contact Us. Please remember that your design will be built into a wordpress theme - keep in mind that content will be inserted into pages using the wordpress editor. This means that you shouldn't get too tricky with the main content area layout.
- Stock photos should come from iStockPhoto.com - Remember that this design will be run as a wordpress theme (More CMS than blog) - Deliverable should be a layered PSD file
- Prizes paid by Paypal - don't ask about other services please.
