How Sawhorse started their web page design journey
Muckrack.com is a network of sites that index and categorize top Twitterers -- see them all at http://sawhorsemedia.com. The project is to design a new identity and theme for a soon to be launched site named Clean Plater based on http://Muckrack.com.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
CleanPlater.com will be a site that catalogs the top people on Twitter who talk about food: foodies, bakers, chefs, cooks, restaurants, etc.
Other sites/publications in this category include: eater.com, epicurious.com, and cooking.com, Cooks Illustrated, Gourmet, Matha Stewart
The design should be clean and modern looking and appeal people who are interested in food and cooking. Not a techy crowd- don't try to make it look like Twitter
Start off with MuckRack.com (and feel free to browse our network of similar sites on the top bar for inspiration)
You can change:
- Top banner - 950 by 79px - Must contain the name, logo and slogan of the site ("Foodies on Twitter") as well as these links: About, Follow @CleanPlater on Twitter, Add a Foodie
- Colors for the page background, headlines, subheadlines, and any
Keep the same 3-column format, dimensions and page width (950px). The best way to start is probably to take a screen capture of http://Muckrack.com and make adjustments to that on new layers.
Please post a screenshot of your new theme here, and the winner will need to provide PSD and/or AI files for the new theme.
