Mira was a pleasure to work with. We were very picky with what we wanted and she was really accommodating with our requests. The Christmas holidays made our contest drag out longer than we expected but Mira worked with us until we were really happy with the end product. She is a very creative designer and put a lot of thought into our brand and how to reflect this image to our target audience. I highly recommend Mira as a web site designer. You will get fresh, creative designs that are unique and really represent the image of your brand. Thanks again Mira, it's been a pleasure working with you.
Great design, I´m very happy with it.
This was quick, there was good communication and fluence of ideas.
High quality work and very responsive to requested changes. Able to take a brief and execute an artistic vision in a modern, relevant manner. Highly recommend working with this designer.

The byline is "It's all in the presentation". I'd like to say Ellie Everyday and then under it or somewhere say Interior Design and then use the byline too.
I am an interior designer. I want a blog now and eventually a website with Ecommerce. The blog will allow me to show vignettes of the latest techniques in design and teach people how to do their home design themselves or to guide them with it. Through the website they would be able to purchase the items displayed in the vignettes on the blog. So the site will need to allow me to upload mass quantities of photos of manufacturer's items (I have these on cd) and allow the user to purchase them and have them shipped from me and/or by the manufacturer depending on the relationships I have with the manufacturers. I think I want it to use WordPress but don't currently have a site or blog. I really just need to get the blog started for now and then work on the site and Ecommerce. At some point I want to allow google ads in a way that doesn't look junky - clean and crisp somehow and not detracting from the site.
Eventually I need:
Home page with rotating photos for my portfolio that can be manually rotated but otherwise rotate slowly.
Blog with frame for photos that will allow for multiple photos side by side as well as one after another.

What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Art & Design
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
Clean cut and classy, not cute. Tailored. I like a border all the way around of a 2+ color geometric pattern. Clean font, not script. I like browns, greys, really pale aquas, corals, greens. But clean and classy. top menu. The picture area needs a frame and needs to have a way to cycle through the photos fast and not have to just wait. I think I like all caps and big/little caps. matte colors. Very icy grey aqua and a mousy brown might be a good combo. Or lime and brown. Or lime/brown/coral. I like double matted framing too.
Blog page only for now to post vignettes using photos to show room designs and write about them. Somehow it needs to say Interior Design.
What to avoid
Cute. Scripty fonts. serifs. nothing to the left. Not institutional or techy feeling. No Polka dots and argyles please.
tobifairley is my favorite website. i'd love it to be like that.
