Description of the organization and its target audience
Every single person has been created in God’s image. The Greek word for image is “eikon" - and we want every person alive to know that you are not a coin with the image of the oppressor stamped on you but you are a child of God, created in the the very image of God, and every day you can grow more and more into that image, which is a beautiful transcendent reality. We want to serve those and love those who would NEVER consider themselves "eikons" (we pronounce it ICON though it is not pronounced that way in the greek). We provide home goods and shelf-stable food to under-served and marginalized individuals, families and shut-ins. We are providing housing for the unsheltered and oppressed in a housing environment wrecked by radical inequity. We do follow Jesus as our example - and, yes, we are a faith-based community, inclusive of all. We are people committed to being transformed more and more into who God created us to be. We desire to step into tension, where things are broken, and we believe God wants to create in that tension - that's where "let there be light" moments happen! We pursue justice and are a multilingual, multiethnic community. We are people of hope - not a disconnected sentimental hope but the hope one finds in a community that loves you and walks with you through the storm. We are Oakland based but we work all over the East Bay. We know God is already here in Oakland and has been here for a long time. We have a vision of young children discovering their spiritual identities; beautiful black and brown children finding their literary voices (there is radical literacy inequity where we serve); children mobilized by God to speak into the brokenness of the world with “power and love and discipline” and grace. We have a vision of community which doesn’t graft in the broken but is built through broken people who find their home together in God’s redemptive love - the disabled, the language-marginalized, those held back because of documentation, those who’ve lost everything, who’ve been deeply wounded by others, and those suffering through addictions, loneliness and isolation. Presently, major themes are housing, home goods - investing in homes and safe spaces; creation; restoration; healing; hope.

Other notes
I'm nervous about committing to colors and am open though I have indicated the colors I've thought about. The singularity has been a powerful image for us and you'll see it used in the presentation deck. We are very open. Ultimately, as you ready about EIKON Community, EIKON Church, EIKON Hub - which is Infinite Christmas - and, finally, the YES Program, Youth Environmental Studies, each of these will most likely need their own sub-logo at some point. So maybe something that could work well in different implementations would be good.
