Du Bois is town surrounded by barren, flat tundra. Around the town the people erected a four story high steel wall. There are guard towers at intervals and between them multiple automated guns on top of the wall.
Outside the wall is a train station. I mixed important things from design brief and made design that convey frozen wasteland and emptiness in apocalyptic world.")

It is a world of enormous technical and material inequality. The ruling are well educated and have electric-powered vehicles, the ruled have horses and carts and cannot read. The great human cities, like Chicago and Detroit, are largely ruins. Many of the tower blocks have no external walls or electricity but people live in them anyway.
CH wanted the cover to be designed around a symbol, as in The Hunger Games, or Divergent, or Legend. The symbol should be Triskele.")

Specifically, he wanted to be a darkly attractive young man (age in 30s) holding a sultry young woman (early 20s) in his arms. She should be wearing a vintage strapless gown, green or blue. He should be in a white button shirt, its sleeves rolled up, its collar unbuttoned to reveal a bit of bare chest.
She looks a lot like movie starlet Rita Hayworth, especially the strawberry blonde hair.
He looks like a cross between a broody Marlon Brando and a boyish Tony Curtis.")
